No End User software installation required
SeamlessCMS is completely browser based and is therefore client platform independent. All that administrators require is web enabled computer with a web browser. SeamlessCMS can be used from all major browser including Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Firefox, Opera 7.50 and even MAC Safari.
Highly Expandable with .NET components
With many.NET site elements freely available to enhance a website (ranging from news tickers, polls, calculators, etc) our plugin manager makes it easy for developers to import new plugins (with no system downtime or configuration) and non-technical contributors to then easily drag and drop complex functions right into their pages.
Bridging with internal and external systems
Seamless supports integration of external and back office systems with web services, and because .NET supports multiple development languages, it provides freedom to develop in your preferred language.
Standards-compliant code
SeamlessCMS allows technical authors to use industry standard code (e.g. JavaScript, XML, SHTML, CSS/DHTML) within pages published through SeamlessCMS. The content conversion process produces non-proprietary, standards compliant code which adheres to industry best practice and can be easily edited using standard code editing tools.
AGLS & Dublin Core metadata Compliant
SeamlessCMS enables content authors to meet Meta-data compliance standards by enforcing the productions of metadata where this information is not automatically available from the content. The Australian Government Locator Service (AGLS) and Dublin Core standards & elements are pre-populated into the system.
LDAP Compliant
For secure websites and intranets, SeamlessCMS support Microsoft Active Directory integration, allowing single sign-on for users registered within the organisations LDAP system. For organisations with custom user databases, SeamlessCMS can be customised in order to authenticate users from an external database through web services.
Software API
A source-code inclusive licence is also available for those organizations that desire Documented-API’s and the ability to modify or extend Seamless in-house through internal development teams. This provides the peace of mind that if required, SeamlessCMS can be brought in-house for any future development or management purposes.
IT Infrastructure
SeamlessCMS is built to run on current windows platforms, from Windows XP to any version of Windows Server 2000 or 2003. The only server side requirement is that IIS & .Net v2 Framework is available. MS SQL 2000 or 2005 is the preferred database and access to an SMTP server is required for email notifications.
